An Act Converting the Mainit National Agricultural High School in the Municipality of Mainit, Province of Surigao Del Norte, into a College of Agriculture and Technology to be Known as the Surigao Del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology and Appropriating Funds Therefor
Section 1. The Mainit National Agricultural High School in the Municipality of Mainit, Province of Surigao del Norte, is converted into a college of agriculture and technology to be known as the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology.
Section 2. The College shall primarily provide professional and advanced vocational instructions and training in agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and industrial technologies. It shall also promote research, advanced studies, and progressive leadership in its field of specialization.
Section 3. The College shall maintain in addition to a secondary education program, undergraduate and graduate courses in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and industrial technologies. It shall also offer short-term vocational and technological courses.
Section 4. The College shall be headed by a college superintendent who shall be responsible for its administration and supervision.1awp++i1
Section 5. All personnel, assets, liabilities, records and appropriations of the Mainit National Agricultural High School are transferred to/absorbed by the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology.
Section 6. The existing appropriations for the Mainit National Agricultural High School are hereby transferred to the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology, to be disbursed in accordance with the provisions of this Act. Thereafter, the necessary amount required for the operation and maintenance of the College shall be provided for in subsequent General Appropriations Acts, until which time the operation of the institution as a college shall be deferred, provided that its new name shall take effect upon approval of this Act.
Section 7. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
