AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF CONG. SIMEON G. TORIBIO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CARMEN, PROVINCE OF BOHOL, FROM FORTY (40) TO SEVENTY-FIVE (75) BEDS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital in the Municipality of Carmen, Province of Bohol, shall be increased from forty (40) to seventy-five (75) beds. Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital development plan that shall be prepared by the Chief of Hospital of Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital, and submitted to the Department of Health.

Section 2. The existing professional health care services and facilities of the Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital shall also be upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to its upgrading as Level II hospital and the increase in bed capacity as provided for in Section 1 hereof.

Section 3. The existing workforce of the Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital, which includes doctors, nurses, and support personnel, shall be increased correspondingly.

Section 4. The Provincial Government of Bohol shall provide the necessary funds to cover the maintenance and other operating expenses of the Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital. It shall also appropriate funds for the additional human resource complement to support the increase in bed capacity and the corresponding upgrading of its service facilities and professional health care services.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 5. The Secretary of Health shall include the Department's subsidy program, support for the capital outlay requirements of the Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital.

Section 6. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 7. All laws, executive orders, issuances, and rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

Section 8. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
