AN ACT CONVERTING THE SATELLITE OFFICE OF THE MARITIME INDUSTRY AUTHORITY LOCATED IN MAASIN CITY, PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE INTO AN EXTENSION OFFICE, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. The existing Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) Satellite Office in Maasin City, Province of Southern Leyte is hereby converted into a MARINA Extension Office. The Extension Office shall provide services for the residents of the Province of Southern Leyte and its neighboring municipalities of Inopacan, Hilongos, Bato and Matalom, Province of Leyte.
Section 2. The Administrator of the MARINA shall immediately include in the Agency's programs the operationalization of the MARINA Extension Office in Maasin City, Province of Southern Leyte, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Section 3. Within sixty (60) days from the effectivity of this Act, the Secretary of Transportation, through the Administrator of the MARINA, shall issue the necessary rules and regulations for its implementation.ℒαwρhi৷
Section 4. This Act shall become effective fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
