REPUBLIC ACT No. 11440
An Act Recognizing the Observance of July 25 of Every Year as the National Campus Press Freedom Day
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1. This Act shall be known as the "National Campus Press Freedom Day Act".
Section 2. It is hereby declared the policy of the State to promote, protect and safeguard the constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of expression, speech and of the press. As part of media, the campus press is an important institution in promoting and protecting the freedom of the press and the freedom of expression. As a testament to its remarkable contribution in the continued advancement of these freedoms, the State shall, as a matter of policy, promote the observance of July 25 of every year as "National Campus Press Freedom Day".
Section 3. The 25th of July of every year is hereby declared as the "National Campus Press Freedom Day" and shall be observed in all educational institutions.
Section 4. All educational institutions are mandated to provide full support and assistance to the preparation of the annual program of activities and events to be conducted by students in observance of the "National Campus Press Freedom Day" pursuant to this Act.
Section 5. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act was passed by the House of Representatives as House Bill No. 6024 on August 14, 2017 and adopted by the Senate of the Philippines as an amendment to Senate Bill No. 747 on June 4, 2019.
