REPUBLIC ACT No. 11163
AN ACT DECLARING THE LAST MONDAY OF JANUARY EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL BIBLE DAY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1. Short Title. - This Act shall be known as the "National Bible Day Act".
Section 2. Declaration of Policy. - It is the policy of the State that the government shall aid and encourage development of the moral character and spiritual foundation of the Filipino people.
Section 3. As a predominantly Christian nation and the largest Christian nation in the Asia Pacific, this Act recognizes the value of the Holy Bible as the core of Christian faith. The last Monday of January and every year thereafter is hereby declared as "National Bible Day" and proclaim the same as a special working holiday.
Section 4. All laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations and any part thereof regarding national nonworking holidays which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Section 5. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.

This Act was passed by the Senate of the Philippines as Senate Bill No. 1270 on February 5, 2018 and adopted by the House of Representatives as an amendment to House Bill No. 7544 on October 10, 2018.
