REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9035 March 12, 2001
AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE INLAND, INTERIOR AND REMOTELY-SITUATED MUNICIPALITIES OF THE PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL NORTE INTO A SEPARATE HIGHWAY ENGINEERING DISTRICT AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. The inland, interior and remotely-situated municipalities of Tagoloan, Pantar, Balo-i, Pantao-Ragat, Matungao, Poona-Piagapo, Munai, Tangkal, Magsaysay, Salvador, Sapad, Nunungan, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lala and Kapatagan, all in the Province of Lanao del Norte, are hereby constituted into a separate highway engineering district to be known as the Second Highway Engineering District of the Province of Lanao del Norte.
Section 2. The office of said highway engineering district shall be located in the Municipality of Balo-i, and shall have a highway district engineer and such other personnel as may be necessary, who shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 16, 2000 and December 11, 2000, respectively.
