[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8832, August 22, 2000 ]
AN ACT CONVERTING THE CABAYUGAN BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL SITUATED AT BARANGAY CABAYUGAN, CITY OF PUERTO PRINCESA, PROVINCE OF PALAWAN, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CABAYUGAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. The existing Cabayugan Barangay High School situated at Barangay Cabayugan, City of Puerto Princesa, Province of Palawan, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Cabayugan National High School.
Section 2. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue the necessary rules, orders and circulars to implement the provisions of this Act.
Section 3. All personnel, records, assets and liabilities of the Cabayugan Barangay High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Cabayugan National High School.
Section 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
Section 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 8, 1998 and June 5, 2000, respectively.
