AN ACT SEPARATING THE MAGTOMA PANGOL HIGH SCHOOL, ALSO KNOWN AS THE MAGTOMA PANGOL ANNEX, FROM THE AGBANNAWAG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TANUDAN, PROVINCE OF KALINGA AND CONVERTING IT INTO A SEPARATE AND INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE MAGTOMA PANGOL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Magtoma Pangol High School, also known as the Magtoma Pangol Annex, is hereby separated from the Agbannawag National High School in the Municipality of Tanudan, Province of Kalinga and converted into a separate and independent national high school to be known as the Magtoma Pangol National High School.

Section 2. The school shall offer secondary education proper, as well as secondary science courses to carry out its objectives, and as may be authorized by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 3. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

Section 4. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Magtoma Pangol High School, also known as the Magtoma Pangol Annex, are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Magtoma Pangol National High School.

Section 5. The amount necessary for the initial implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Agbannawag National High School-Magtoma Pangol Annex. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the continuous operation and maintenance of the Magtoma Pangol National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on August 17, 1999 and May 22, 2000,  respectively.
