[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8816, August 22, 2000 ]
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY MAGSAYSAY, MUNICIPALITY OF PANAON, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL TO BE KNOWN AS THE PANAON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. There shall be established a national high school in Barangay Magsaysay, Municipality of Panaon, Province of Misamis Occidental to be known as the Panaon National High School.
Section 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports, hereinafter referred to as the Department, shall implement the provisions of this Act.
Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on August 18, 1999 and June 8, 2000, respectively.
