[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8343, August 12, 1997 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE ADELA SERRA TY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN TANDAG, SURIGAO DEL SUR, INTO A TERTIARY LEVEL MEDICAL CENTER, UNDER THE FULL ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL SUPERVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH), TO BE KNOWN AS THE ADELA SERRA TY MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Adela Serra Ty Memorial Hospital in Tandag, Surigao del Sur, is hereby converted into a tertiary level medical center, correspondingly increasing its bed capacity to Two hundred (200) beds, under the full administrative and technical supervision of the Department of Health, to be known as the Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center.

Section 2. The Department of Health shall issue the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of this Act.1aшphi1

Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
