[ REPUBLIC ACT No. 8118, July 09, 1995 ]

AN ACT SEPARATING THE BAGONG BARRIO HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY BAGONG BARRIO, KALOOKAN CITY, METRO MANILA, FROM THE KALOOKAN HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY SIXTY-TWO, ALSO IN KALOOKAN CITY, METRO MANILA, AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE BAGONG BARRIO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Bagong Barrio High School in Barangay Bagong Barrio, Kalookan City, Metro Manila, is hereby separated from the Kalookan High School in Barangay Sixty-two, also in Kalookan City, Metro Manila, and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Bagong Barrio National High School.1aшphi1

Section 2. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary for the implementation of this Act.

Section 3. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Kalookan High School. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Lapsed into law on July 9, 1995 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
