[ REPUBLIC ACT No. 8075, June 19, 1995 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SANTIAGO VOCATIONAL AND INDUSTRIAL HIGH SCHOOL TO SOUTHERN ISABELA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND TRADES, AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Santiago Vocational and Industrial High School in the Municipality of Santiago, Province of Isabela, is hereby converted into a college of arts and trades, to be known as the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades.

Section 2. The College shall provide higher vocational, professional and technical instruction and training in trade and industrial education, with a focus on the higher professional instruction in arts, sciences and technologies, and other courses as may be authorized by the chairperson of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Section 3. The College shall be under the administration and supervisory control of the chairperson of the TESDA.1aшphi1

Section 4. All personnel, records and assets as well as liabilities of the Santiago Vocational and Industrial High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades.

Section 5. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Santiago Vocational and Industrial High School. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Lapsed into law on June 19, 1995 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
