[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7677, January 10, 1994 ]

AN ACT DECLARING OCTOBER SIXTEEN OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF OROQUIETA TO BE KNOWN AS OROQUIETA CITY DAY

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. October Sixteen is the annual celebration of the Oroquieta City fiesta when the city's sons and daughters come back to their birthplace and savor the comforting feeling of being with their loved ones.

Section 2. October Sixteen of every year is hereby declared a special nonworking holiday in the City of Oroquieta to be known as Oroquieta City Day.

Section 3. Where October Sixteen falls on a Sunday or a proclaimed holiday, the day following shall be a nonworking day in the said city.1a⍵⍴h!1

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Lapsed into law on January 10, 1994 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
