AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE PURIFICACION DOLAR MONFORT NATIONAL SCHOOL IN BARANGAY PURIFICACION D. MONFORT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DUMANGAS, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, INTO A BRANCH OF THE WESTERN VISAYAS COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN ILOILO CITY TO BE KNOWN AS THE PURIFICACION DOLAR MONFORT COLLEGE, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Purificacion Dolar Monfort National School in Barangay Purificacion D. Monfort, Municipality of Dumangas, Province of Iloilo, is hereby constituted into a branch of the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology, Iloilo City, to be known as the Purificacion Dolar Monfort College. Said branch shall offer general secondary curriculum, vocational curriculum, and technical courses.

Section 2. All assets of the Purificacion Dolar Monfort National School, whether fixed or movable, and records are hereby transferred to the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology.1âшphi1

Section 3. The teachers and other employees of the school shall be absorbed by the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology and shall continue in the service.

Section 4. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall be the necessary steps for the operation of the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology branch in the Municipality of Dumangas and the immediate implementation of this Act.

Section 5. All existing appropriations for the Purificacion Dolar Monfort National School are hereby transferred to the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology to be disbursed in accordance with the provisions of this Act. Thereafter, the sum necessary for the operation and maintenance of the College shall be provided for in the annual General Appropriations Act of the year following the approval of this Act.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
