AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE IN BARANGAY POCTOY, MUNICIPALITY OF TORRIJOS; THE COLLEGE OF FISHERIES IN BARANGAY PINGGAN, MUNICIPALITY OF GASAN; AND THE MARINDUQUE COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF STA. CRUZ, ALL IN THE PROVINCE OF MARINDUQUE, AS BRANCHES OF THE MARINDUQUE STATE COLLEGE, BOAC, MARINDUQUE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The college of agriculture in Barangay Poctoy, Municipality of Torrijos; the college of fisheries in Barangay Pinggan, Municipality of Gasan; and the Marinduque Community College in the Municipality of Sta. Cruz, all in the Province of Marinduque, are hereby established as branches of the Marinduque State College.

Section 2. Upon approval of this Act, the college of agriculture in Barangay Poctoy, Municipality of Torrijos; the college of fisheries in Barangay Pinggan, Municipality of Gasan; and the Marinduque Community College in the Municipality of Sta. Cruz shall henceforth be known as the Marinduque State College, Torrijos Branch; the Marinduque State College, Gasan Branch; and the Marinduque State College, Sta. Cruz Branch, respectively.1âшphi1

Section 3. The personnel of the different colleges, the college of agriculture, the college of fisheries, and the Marinduque Community College, shall be absorbed by the Marinduque State College, subject to existing laws, rules and regulations.

All assets, fixed and movable, records, documents and other things of value belonging to the abovementioned colleges including their liabilities shall be turned over to the Marinduque State College.

Section 4. In addition to the current appropriations of the Marinduque Community College and the Marinduque State College, the amount needed to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 5. All laws, decrees, rules and regulations, administrative orders and other issuances inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or amended accordingly.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
