[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7243, March 19, 1992 ]
AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE SAN MARCELINO DISTRICT HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN MARCELINO, PROVINCE OF ZAMBALES, FROM FIFTY (50) TO SEVENTY-FIVE (75) BEDS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. The operation and maintenance of the San Marcelino District Hospital which is presently financed by the National Government with an annual budget of Two million pesos (P 2M) has to be improved and increased from fifty to seventy-five-bed capacity in order to effectively and efficiently serve the basic medical needs of the people of San Marcelino, Zambales, and the neighboring towns.
Section 2. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be charged against the lump-sum appropriations authorized for the purpose under the current General Appropriations Act. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the hospital shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.1âшphi1
Section 3. The Secretary of Health shall undertake measures that shall provide for better operation, management and maintenance of the hospital.
Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
