[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6463, June 17, 1972 ]
AN ACT DECLARING THE BARRIO OF BALBALASANG, BALBALAN, KALINGA-APAYAO AS A TOURIST RESORT, SETTING ASIDE CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN THEREIN AS A NATIONAL PARK, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS AS INITIAL AMOUNT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAID NATIONAL PARK.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. The barrio of Balbalasang, Balbalan, Kalinga-Apayao, is hereby declared a tourist resort, and certain portions of the public domains therein which may be selected by the Commission on Parks and Wildlife within one year from the effectivity of this Act is hereby declared, subject to the approval of the President, a national park.1âшphi1
Section 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said tourist spot and national park during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and seventy-four. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for their operation and maintenance shall be included in the amount General Appropriations Act,
Section 3. This. Act shall take effect upon its approval.
