REPUBLIC ACT No. 4855
An Act Fixing the Compensation of Members of the Election Registration Board, Amending for This Purpose Republic Act Numbered Thirty-Five Hundred Eighty-Eight, as Amended, and Providing Funds Therefor
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1. Republic Act Numbered Thirty-five hundred and eighty-eight, as amended, is hereby further amended by inserting a new section between Sections six and seven thereof, to be known as Section six-A which shall read as follows:
"Sec. 6-A. Compensation.— Every member of an Election Registration Board representing a political party shall be entitled to a compensation of fifteen pesos for each day of actual service in the Board, but shall not be entitled to traveling expenses."
Section 2. Until provisions therefor shall have been made in the annual General Appropriations Act, the Commission on Elections is hereby authorized to use such sums as may be necessary from savings in any appropriation provided for said Commission including excess certifications to accounts payable to carry out the provisions of this Act and for other purposes in connection with the implementation of Republic Act Numbered Thirty-five hundred and eighty-eight, as amended.
Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
