REPUBLIC ACT No. 4650
An Act Authorizing the President of the Philippines to Reserve Certain Parcels of Land Owned by the Philippine Government for the Use of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, Appropriating Funds for the Construction of Buildings Thereon and Roads Thereto, and for Other Purposes
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1. The President of the Philippines is hereby authorized to reserve such parcel or parcels of public land as may be available and suitable for the purpose of erecting buildings and other facilities for the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy.
Section 2. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act, there is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of three million five hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as shall be necessary, to construct the buildings, roads and other facilities for the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy.
Section 3. The construction of the buildings, facilities and roads authorized hereunder shall be undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Communications in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and within a period of three years from and after the effectivity of this Act.
Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
