REPUBLIC ACT No. 4350

An Act Amending the Revised Charter of the City of Cebu

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. Section forty-one of Republic Act Numbered Thirty-eight hundred and fifty-seven, otherwise known as the Revised Charter of the City of Cebu, is amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 41. The clerk of city court—his duties—deputy clerks of court.— The clerk of the city court shall keep its seal and affix it to all orders, judgments, certificates, records and other documents issued by the court. He shall keep a docket of the trials in the court, in which he shall record in a summary manner the name of the defendant, the charge against him, the names of the prosecuting witnesses, the date of arrest, the appearance of the defendant, the date of the trial, and the nature of the judgment, together with the fines and costs adjudged or collected in accordance with said judgment. He shall have the power to administer oaths. He shall receive a salary of seven thousand eight hundred pesos per annum.

"The clerk of the city court shall be assisted by three deputy clerks of court, who shall each receive a salary of five thousand four hundred pesos per annum, and such other assistants and employees as the City Council shall provide."

Section 2. The clerk of court and his deputies appointments have already been approved by the authorities concerned prior to the approval of this Act, shall automatically be entitled to the benefits of this Act without further needs of appointment.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
