REPUBLIC ACT No. 4206

An Act Prohibiting the Collection of Contributions from School Children of Public Primary and Intermediate Schools

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. The collection of contributions for the Red Cross, Anti-Tuberculosis, Parent-Teacher Associations, School Athletic Meets, Medical and Dental Services or for any other project or purpose, whether voluntary or otherwise, from school children of public primary and intermediate schools is hereby prohibited: Provided, However, That this prohibition shall not cover membership drives of the Red Cross.

Section 2. Any person who violates the provisions of this Act shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty pesos nor more than one hundred pesos or imprisonment for not more than one month or both in the discretion of the court.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
