REPUBLIC ACT No. 3419
An Act Creating the Municipality of Buldon, Province of Cotabato
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1. The barrios of Nabalawag, Buldon, Barira, Mataya, Kabayuan, Marang, Bualan, Gallego Edcor Farm, Lipawan, Gadung, Lipa, and Liong, and the sitios of Dinganen, Ramang, Igabay, Tambac, Kumaguinking, Kulempang, Pantawan, Bagoinged, Busiagan, Lawingis, Taluban, Sapad, Garigayan, Badiongan, Pier (Perez), Ramidas, Pinasanka, Madalem, Kabilangan, and Talaya, Municipality of Parang, Province of Cotabato, are separated from said municipality and are constituted into a distinct and independent municipality to be known as the Municipality of Buldon, Province of Cotabato, with the seat of government at the present site of the barrio of Nabalawag: Provided, That the boundary of this new municipality be more particularly defined as follows:
"Beginning at a point on the southern bank of the Nituan River approximately 800 meters below the former junction of the Nituan and Ambal Rivers to its junction with the Ambal River; thence going northward to the crest of Mt. Mariga; thence going on a northward direction to the crest of Mt. Ligue; thence going northward to the crest of Mt. Bita; thence following the boundary line of the provinces of Cotabato and Lanao to a point where the old boundary lines of the municipalities of Midsayap and Parang meet; thence going southward following the boundary line of the municipalities of Midsayap and Pigcawayan; thence going northwest following the boundary line of the municipalities of Parang and Nuling to a point near the sitio of Pingping; thence going southwestward following the Muay River; thence following the Simuary River till its junction with the Ambal River; thence following the Ambal River to its junction with the old Ambal River bed; thence following the old river bed to its old junction with the Nituan River, the point of beginning."
Section 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of the new municipality shall be appointed by the President, subject to the confirmation of the Commission of Appointments, and shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected in the next general elections for local officials and shall have qualified.
Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
