REPUBLIC ACT No. 2241
An Act to Recognize the Veterans of World War I
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1. Any Filipino citizen who was enlisted and/or commissioned and served during World War I under the allied armed forces and/or who was a member of the First Philippine National Guard, either before or after its integration into the Army of the United States of America shall be considered a veteran of World War I. A veteran of World War I shall be entitled to wear such military uniform and decorations on special occasions as may be designated and designed by the Secretary of National Defense after due consultation with duly constituted authorities and recommendation of the First Philippine National Guard Veterans Association.
Section 2. For the purpose of processing those who are covered by this Act, the Philippine Veterans Commission shall be guided by the records of the First Philippine National Guard Association and the rosters now in the Archives of the Philippine Government and of the United States Government.
Section 3. Any duly recognized veteran of World War I shall be entitled, all things being equal, to priority in hospitalization in any government hospital: Provided, However, That nothing herein shall be construed to mean any monetary remuneration in any form.
Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
