REPUBLIC ACT No. 1952
An Act to Establish the Roxas Memorial School of Arts and Trades in the Municipality of Ibajay, Province of Aklan, and to Authorize the Appropriation of Funds Therefor
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1. The Director of Public Schools is hereby authorized and directed to establish a national school of arts and trades, of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type, in the Municipality of Ibajay, Province of Aklan, which shall be called Roxas Memorial School of Arts and Trades. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to organize the said school and to issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. Courses of junior college and secondary levels shall be offered in the said school.1âшphi1
Section 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation and maintenance for the first school year and for the purchase of the necessary equipment thereof, after the approval of this Act, is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated. Thereafter, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Act.
Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
