PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 333 November 9, 1973
AUTHORIZING AS AN EMERGENCY MEASURE THE IMPORTATION, FREE OF DUTIES, OF CERTAIN FINISHED PETROLEUM PRODUCTS FOR A LIMITED PERIOD
WHEREAS, because of unforseen events there is a threatened cutback of crude oil supply;
WHEREAS, such a cutback will lead to a shortfall of the production of finished oil products;
WHEREAS, there is now an urgent need to fill-up the shortfall of the petroleum products through their importation.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and pursuant to Proclamation No. 1081 dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1 dated September 22, 1972, as amended do hereby order and decree the following:
Section 1. Any provision of existing law, executive or administrative order, or rule or regulation to the contrary notwithstanding, the importation, free from customs duties, of gasoline, kerosene, diesels, liquified petroleum gas, fuel oil, aviation-turbo fuel, and aviation gas by persons or entities duly authorized by the Oil Industry Commission, shall be allowed for a period of 45 days from the approval of this decree unless sooner terminated by the President.
Section 2. Any law or order inconsistent herewith is hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.
