[ Commonwealth Act No. 641, June 11, 1941 ] AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION TWENTY-ONE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE AS AMENDED Bi COMMONWEALTH ACT NUMBERED TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY. Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines: Section 1. Section twenty-one of the Administrative Code, as amended by Commonwealth Act Numbered Two hundred and seventy, is amended to read as follow: "Section 21. Officials authorized to administer oath.- The following officers have general authority to administer oaths, to wit: "Notaries public; justices of the peace, and auxiliary justices o f the peace; clerks of courts, the Secretary of the National Assembly; bureau directors; registers of deeds; provincial governors and lieutenant-governors; city mayors; municipal mayors; municipal district mayors; any other officer in the Philippine service whose appointment is vested in the President of the Philippines, Secretary of War, or President of the United States. A person who by authority of law shall act in the capacity of the officers mentioned above shall possess the sane power." Section 2.
