AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION NINE OF ACT NUMBERED FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND FIVE, ENTITLED "AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPALITY OF ILOILO, IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOILO, TO ISSUE BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO CONSTRUCT NECESSARY SEWER FACILITY IN SAID MUNICIPALITY, AND AUTHORIZING ALSO LAN INSULAR GOVERNMENT BOND ISSUE SECURED BY SAID MUNICIPAL BONDS, AND.FOR OTHER PURPOSES."

Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines;

Section 1. Section.nine of Act Numbered Four thousand two hundred and five is amended to read as follow;

"Section 9. Until the bonds shall have been fully paid and until the National Assembly shall provide otherwise, the administration, control, operation, maintenance and improvement of the sewerage system.ℒαwρhi৷established with the proceeds of the sale of the bonds authorized by this Act shall be vested in the Municipal Board oi the City of IIoilo and a sewerage board composed of the Treasurer of the City Health Officer and the City Engineer who shall be members. Said Municipal Board of the City of Iloilo shall exercise its powers and authority and the sewerage;board hereby created shall perform its functions in accordance with the regulations made or that may, in the future, be made jointly by the .Director of Health and the Director of Public Works, with the approval of the Secretary of Public Instruction and the Secretary of Public Works and Communications. All income derived from the sever age system shall be credited to a special fund which may be used, with the approval of the Municipal Board of the:City of Iloilo only for the following purposes, in the order stated: First, for the payment of the reimbursements mentioned in section seven of this Act; second, for the operation and maintenance of the sewerage system; third, for the improvement, and. ex tens ion of the system, provided that the plans therefor have been duly approved by the Director of Public Works; and fourth, in case there is a surplus of the receipts not required for said purposes, said surplus may be used for the general purposes of the City of Iloilo."

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
