AN ACT TRANSFERRING THE ADMINISTRATION AND GENERAL SUPERVISION OF THE PILAR IRRIGATION SYSTEM FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF PILAR PROVINCE OF BATAAN TO THE DISTRICT ENGINEER OF THE SAID PROVINCE.

Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:

Section 1. Section one of Act Numbered Four thousand and eight is amended to read as follows:

"Section 1. The Baruyen River Irrigation System in the Province of Zamboanga, are turned over to the municipalities of Burgos in Ilocos Norte, and Dipolog in Zamboanga, respectively, for operation as municipal irrigation systems under such conditions as the Secretary of Public Works and Communications may impose.ℒαwρhi৷ The Pilar Irrigation system in the Province of Bataan shall be under the administration and general supervision of the district engineer of the Province of Bataan, who shall take care of the proper distribution of water, the collection of fees or charges accruing to the system, and to dispose of such sum as may be necessary for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the said irrigation system, and any surplus thereof at the end of every fiscal year shall be turned over by him to the municipal treasurer of Pilar to the credit of the general funds of the said municipality, together with the necessary vouchers showing the expenses thereby incurred. The Dipolog Irrigation System may be abandoned by the municipality of Dipolog with the approval of the Secretary of pubic works and Communications. All irrigation charges due the National Government on the Baruyen River Irrigation System and Pilar Irrigation System at the time of this transfer shall be collected by the National Government as provided in the Irrigation Act, as amended"

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
