[ Commonwealth Act No. 429, May 31, 1939 ]

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES REGARDING THE ASSIGNMENT OF FILIPINOS TO UNITED STATES EMBASSIES OR CONSULATES IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:

Section 1. The President of the Philippines is authorized to conduct negotiations with the President of the United States for the purpose of securing the assignment of Filipinos to embassies or consulates of the United States in foreign countries for such training, work, or services as may be agreed upon.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 2. There .is appropriated out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise, appropriated, the sum of two hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the payment or reimbursement of'salaries, travelling, and other expenses of Filipinos who may be assigned under this Act.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon.its approval.
