AN ACT PROVIDING THAT ALL RETIREMENT GRATUITIES OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GRANTED RETIREMENT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE, AS AMENDED, SHALL BE PAID FROM THE RESPECTIVE FUNDS FROM WHICH THE SALARIES OF THE SAID RETIRED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES WERE BEING PAID AT THE TIME OF RETIREMENT.(awÞhi(
Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:
Section 1. The retirement gratuities of officers or employees granted retirement under the provisions of Act Numbered Twenty-five hundred and eighty-nine, entitled "An Act providing for a gratuity by reason of retirement to officers and employees who have rendered satisfactory service during six continuous years or more, and for other purposes," shall be paid from the funds from which such retired officers or employees received their salaries at the time of retirement: Provided, That the retirement gratuities of officers or employees retired prior to the approval of this Act shall continue to be paid from the funds from which the same were payable before such approval.
Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
