AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND LIVE OF THE REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, BY AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES TO DESIGNATE ANY OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE OR SUITABLE PERSON NOT IN THE SERVICE AS ACTING PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted, by the National Assembly of the Philippines:

Section 1. Section two thousand six hundred and five of the Revised Administrative Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Section 2605. The provincial board, members of.-The following officers of the provincial government to wit, the provincial governor, the provincial treasurer, and the member or members of the provincial board, as the case may be, shall constitute the provincial board.(awÞhi( The provincial governor shall be the presiding officer of the board. In ease of the absence, illness, suspension or other temporary disability of the provincial governor, or if, for any other reason, he is unable to perform his official duties, the President of the Philippines may designate any other officer or employee to perform the duties of the position or he may temporarily appoint thereto a suitable person not in the service. Until the President of the Philippines shall act, the duties of the provincial governor shall be performed by a member of the provincial board or by the provincial treasurer, whoever may have been previously authorized by the provincial governor. When a member of the provincial board or the provincial treasurer is thus designated, the authority may be limited to the performance, during the absence of the governor from the provincial capital, of such of his duties as can be conveniently performed at the capital or it may be limited to the performance of specific acts or classes of acts. Every such designation shall be in writing and shall be spread on the minutes of the provincial board. Copies of all the resolutions of the provincial board and executive orders of the provincial governor shall be furnished the Department of the Interior, under such regulations as it may prescribe."

Section 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
