AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE SURVEY AND SUBDIVISION OF ALL PUBLIC AGRICULTURAL LANDS LYING PARALLEL TO, AND EXTENDING WITHIN THREE KILOMETERS FROM, BOTH SIDES OF ANY PUBLIC HIGHWAY.
Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one hundred thousand pesos which shall be spent by the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce, upon the recommendation of the Director of Lands, for the survey and subdivision of all public agricultural lands lying parallel to and at least within three kilometers from both sides of any new public highway constructed in the Philippines. The lands so surveyed and subdivided shall be open for disposition in accordance with the terms, limitations, and conditions imposed by the Public, Land Act to all persons qualified to acquire public lands under said Act, but at least one-half of such lands shall be disposed of only by means of homestead entry.ℒαwρhi৷ The expenses of the survey and subdivision shall be apportioned, assessed, and collected from all applicants, except those for homestead, in addition to the fees, rentals or other payments collectible under the provisions of said Act, and shall be paid by the respective applicants in ten equal annual installments without interest from the date of approval of their respective applications.
Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
