AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF THIRTY THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE EXPENSES OF THE COMMITTEE AND FINANCIAL EXPERT TO BE APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES TO CONDUCT HEARINGS IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACT OF CONGRESS OF MARCH TWENTY-FOURTH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FOUR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines
in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
Section 1. The sum of thirty thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of the expenses of the committee and financial expert to be appointed by the President of the United States to conduct hearings and make investigations in the Philippine Islands for the purpose of determining and recommending the correction of existing imperfections and inequalities in the Act of Congress of March twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and thirty-four, commonly known as the Tydings-McDuffie Act, including the payment of traveling expenses from the United States to the Philippine Islands and return, of the said committee and financial expert, and the expenses for board and lodging, clerical help, and other incidental expenses thereof in these Islands.1aшphi1
Section 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
