AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE ESTATE OF LEPERS WHO HAVE DIED IN THE CULION LEPER COLONY OR IN OTHER LEPER TREATMENT CAMPS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

Section 1. When a leper inmate of the Culion Leper Colony or any leper treatment camp shall die leaving personal or real property therein, the chief of the Culion Leper Colony or the medical officer in charge of the leper treatment camp shall, either in person or through a delegate designated by him, take possession of the estate, making a complete inventory thereof, and file the same with the Insular Auditor, through the Director of Health. If no regular administration of the estate is had, and if there are no relatives applying for letters of administration, he shall proceed to ascertain by the best means within his power the names and residences of the persons who are lawfully entitled to the estate and shall proceed to settle the same and to dispose of the assets in accordance therewith. The expenses for carrying out his work as may be deemed just and reasonable may be paid against the estate.1aшphi1

Section 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
