[ Act No. 3482, December 07, 1928 ]
AN ACT TO CLARIFY THE FUNCTIONS AND POWERS OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS RELATIVE TO THE PLANNING OF CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
Section 1. Paragraph (f) of section nineteen hundred and one of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Revised Administrative Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1901 (f). The supervision over the architectural features of buildings, parks, streets, and permanent constructions and improvements of a public character throughout the Islands whether pertaining to the insular or other branch of the Government; and the procurance of architectural plans for public buildings by means of public competition, when deemed advisable.1aшphi1 The Director of Public Works shall be in charge of the preparation of the general plans for the improvement and future development of all the cities and municipalities existing or which may hereafter exist in the islands including provincial centers. These plans, once adopted by the municipal or provincial authorities as the case may be with the approval of the Secretary of the Interior, shall stand as the 'Official Plans' of said cities and municipalities and no change, modification, or revision shall be made in the execution of these plans without the approval of the Secretary of the Interior, upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works."
Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
