AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY, ENTITLED "AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE NECESSARY EXPENSES OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER THIRTY-FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SEVEN, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

Section 1. Subsection (R) of section one of Act Numbered Thirty-three hundred and forty, entitled "An Act appropriating funds for the necessary expenses of the Government of the Philippine Islands during the fiscal year ending December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and twenty-seven, and for other purposes," is hereby amended by adding, at the end thereof, the following proviso:

"Provided, That out of the funds appropriated for the Bureau of Customs, a sum not to exceed ten thousand pesos shall be set aside for the payment to Fuji Trading Co.ℒαwρhi৷, Ltd., for the seventy bales of straw board paper and one hundred thirty-four bales of news printing paper belonging to said company, delivered to another mercantile firm by a subordinate employee of the Bureau of Customs without the production of the proper bill of lading in accordance with section thirteen hundred and sixteen of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven."

Section 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
