[ Act No. 3341, December 07, 1926 ]

AN ACT MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

Section 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as -may be necessary, are hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be at the disposal of the Director of Public Works, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Commerce and Communications and the provisions hereinafter set forth, for the purposes mentioned hereunder:

A. COMPLETION AND MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND OTHER UNCLASSIFIED PROJECTS

(a) For the maintenance, alteration, improvement, and repair of public buildings, including adjacent grounds........ P450,000.00

(b) For the construction, improvement, and repair of the following agricultural schools in regularly organized provinces:

1 Agricultural school of Central Luzon, Muņoz, Nueva Ecija "80,000.00
2 Agricultural school at Baybay, Leyte 25,000.00
3 Agricultural school at Lagangilang, Abra 20,000.00
4 Agricultural school at Catarman, Samar , including the purchase of lands P20,000.00
5 Agricultural school at Ilagan, Isabela 20,000.00
6 Agricultural school of Bohol, for the purchase of lands 10,000.00
7 Agricultural school at San Carlos , Pangasinan 25,000.00
8 Agricultural school at Indang, Cavite 5,000.00
9 Agricultural school at Sorsogon, Sorsogon 25,000.00
10 Agricultural school at Pili, Camarines Sur 20,000.00
11 Agricultural school at Cabagan, Isabela 3,000.00
12 Agricultural school at Odiongan, Romblon 1,500.00
Total 704,500.00

(c) For the construction, improvement, and repair of agricultural schools in specially organized provinces:

1 Bukidnon Agricultural School , Malay-balay, Bukidnon 25,000.00
2 Bunuan Agricultural School, Bunuan, Agusan 25,000.00
3 Lumbatan Agricultural School, Lumbatan, Lanao 25,000.00
4 Agricultural school at Trinidad , Moun- tain Province, including purchase of lands 40,000.00
Total 115,000.00
(d) For the construction, improvement, and repair of normal schools, high schools, and trade schools:
1 For the construction of a Normal School at Legaspi, Albay 100,000.00
2 For the construction of the Surigao High School 18,000.00
3 For the construction of a High School at San Jose , Antique 30,000.00
4 For aid for the construction of the High School at Bacolod , Occidental Negros 30,000.00
5 For the construction and reconstruction of the La Union High School and Trade School 30,000.00
6 For the extension of the Mindoro High School 15,000.00
Total 223,000.00

(e) Insular aid for the construction of the building for the branch of the University of the Philippines in the City of Cebu , equal to the sum appro-priated for said project by the municipality and Province of Cebu ............ P30,000.00

(f) For aid to municipalities for the construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, extension, and completion of the following elementary and intermediate schools:

Section 2. All balances of the several appropriations made by this Act the destination of which has not been determined by proper authority on July thirtieth, nineteen hundred and twenty-seven, and all balances of appropriations remaining unexpended on July thirtieth, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, shall revert to the unappropriated funds in the Insular Treasury, and thereafter shall not be available for expenditure except upon appropriation by the Legislature.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 3. The sums appropriated by paragraphs (a), (h), (II), (u), (cc), (dd), (ee), (kk), and (l-l) shall be distributed in the discretion of the Secretary of Commerce and Communications, but those appropriated in the other paragraphs, except the appropriation for the completion of the Manila Post-office Building , shall be available for immediate expenditure by the Director of Public Works.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect on January first, nineteen hundred and twenty-seven.
