AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGISTRATION OF EVERY CONTRACT OF AGENCY AND ITS REVOCATION IN ORDER THAT IT MAY BE VALID FOR OR AGAINST THIRD PARTIES, THE MANNER IN WHICH THE REVOCATION OF AGENCY MUST BE MADE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

Section 1. Every contract of civil or commercial agency and every revocation thereof must be registered in the office of the register of deeds of the province where it has been made, and in the province or provinces where it may be desired to record any instrument or contract or where such instrument or contract has been recorded by the principal, in order that it may be valid for or against third parties.

Section 2. The revocation of an agency must be made in a public document and a certified copy thereof served on the agent.

Section 3. The register of deeds of Manila shall, within five days from the date of such registration, send to the Bureau of Commerce and Industry a certified copy of any contract of commercial agency or revocation thereof which may have been recorded in the office of said register of deeds of Manila.

Section 4. The registers of deeds of the provinces shall, within five days from the date of registration, send a certified copy of every instrument of agency or revocation there of registered, to the office of the register of deeds of Manila in case of a civil agency, and to the Bureau of Commerce and Industry in case of a commercial agency.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 5. Every register of deeds shall keep a register for the recording of instruments of agency and revocation thereof and other documents connected therewith, and shall charge the sum of five pesos as registration fees for each such document.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
