[ Act No. 3242, November 27, 1925 ]
AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED SEVENTEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY- SEVEN, INSERTING A NEW SECTION PENALIZING THE POSSESSION OF ANY NUMBER, LIST, MEMORANDUM, OR DEVICE PERTAINING TO "JUETENG."
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
Section 1. The following new section, which shall be known as section seven and a half, is hereby inserted after section seven of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and fifty-seven:
"Section 7½. Any person who shall knowingly and without good reason have charge or possession of, or carry with him any number, list, memorandum, note, annotation, or device that shall in any manner pertain or have pertained to any game of 'jueteng' that has been held, is being held, or is to be held at any future time, shall be punished as provided in section three of this Act.ℒαwρhi৷ℒαwρhi৷
"Upon a second conviction for having played 'jueteng' or having had in his possession any paper or device pertaining thereto, the person so convicted, if not a citizen of the Philippine Islands or the United States, may be sentenced to lie deported."
Section 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
