AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SECRETARY OF JUSTICE TO PURCHASE THE ORIGINAL OF DR. JOSE RIZAL'S "EL FILIBUSTERISMO," AND MAKING THE NECESSARY APPROPRIATION FOR THIS PURPOSE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

Section 1. The Secretary of Justice is hereby authorized to purchase the original of Dr.ℒαwρhi৷ Jose Rizal's novel "El Filibusterismo," to be deposited in the Philippine Library and Museum, as property of the Insular Government.

Section 2. The sum of ten thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be disbursed in its entirety or so much thereof as may be necessary, in the discretion of the Secretary of Justice, for the purchase of the original of "El Filibusterismo."

Section 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
