[ Act No. 2966, February 20, 1921 ]

AN ACT AUTHORIZING JUAN JAVIER, MANSUETO JAVIER, AND AGUSTIN GUERRA, THEIR HEIRS OR LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES TO BRING SUIT AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL TO APPEAR IN SAID SUIT ON BEHALF OF THE SAID GOVERNMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

Section 1. Juan Javier, Mansueto Javier, and Agustin Guerra, their heirs and legal representatives are hereby authorized to bring suit in the Court of First Instance of Manila or Tayabas against the Government of the Philippine Islands, or include the Government of the Philippine Islands as defendant in any suit already instituted by them, within six months from and after the approval of this Act, to determine their right, if any, to various portions of land expropriated and occupied by the Insular Government upon the opening of the interprovincial road between Batangas and Tayabas which connects the municipalities of Bolboc and Candelaria, and the Attorney-General is authorized to appear at said trial, either himself or through a delegate, on the behalf of the Government of the Philippine Islands to defend said Government at the same.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
