AN ACT GRANTING A LIFE PENSION TO GENERAL EMILIO AGUINALDO.
Whereas information has been received to the effect that General Emilio Aguinaldo, late President of the Revolutionary Government of the Philippine Islands, is at present ill and unable to follow his usual occupations;
Whereas it is meet and proper, considering the office which the said General Aguinaldo held in the Revolution, that the Government of the Philippine Islands provide him with the necessary means to live decorously: Now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
Section 1. There is hereby granted to General Emilio Aguinaldo, in recognition of the services rendered by him to the cause of the Philippine Revolution, a life pension of twelve thousand pesos, to be paid in monthly installments at the end of each month, out of the appropriation made in section 1-D-91 of Act Numbered Twenty-eight hundred and seventy-five.ℒαwρhi৷
Section 2. The sum necessary to pay the pension provided for in this Act shall be appropriated in the General Appropriation Act each year.
Section 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
