[ Act No. 2919, March 24, 1920 ]
AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS, OR SO MUCH THEREOF AS MAY BE NECESSARY, FOR THE RELIEF OF INDIGENT SUFFERERS FROM FIRES, EARTHQUAKES, FLOODS, TYPHOONS OR OTHER PUBLIC CALAMITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
Section 1. The funds for emergency service provided for in section 1-YY of Act Numbered Twenty-eight hundred and seventy-five are hereby made available, in a sum not to exceed one hundred thousand pesos, for the relief of indigent sufferers from fires, earthquakes, floods, typhoons or other public calamities that have occurred, or may occur, in the Philippine Islands in the year nineteen hundred and twenty, including the purchase and transportation of supplies to the territory or territories affected.
Section 2. The money herein appropriated shall be distributed by the Secretary of the Interior in the territory or territories affected, such distribution to be made pro rata in case there are two or more such territories, and the sum or sums so alloted or prorated shall be disbursed in the discretion of the respective provincial boards, subject to the approval of the Secretary of the Interior, for the purposes hereinbefore specified.ℒαwρhi৷
Section 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
