AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PHILIPPINE EXPOSITION.(awÞhi(

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

Section 1. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is Appropriation, hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the expenses incident to the Philippine Exposition to be held in the year nineteen hundred and fourteen in the city of Manila, including assistance to provinces and to municipalities, purchase of exhibits for the purpose of developing the existing Philippine Museum, illumination, construction of necessary buildings, purchase or rental of land, salaries and traveling expenses of subordinate officials and employees, prizes and diplomas to provinces and individuals for the best displays, or for general publicity work designed to advertise the attractions, resources, and commercial and industrial advantages of the Philippine Islands, and for any and all purposes incident to and necessary for carrying out the Philippine Exposition of nineteen hundred and fourteen: Provided, That not more than ten thousand pesos shall become available until July first, nineteen hundred and thirteen.

Section 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the same shall take effect on its passage in accordance with section one of Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and forty-five of the Philippine Legislature.
