[ Act No. 1637, April 30, 1907 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR LOANS OF SIXTY THOUSAND PESOS, SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND PESOS, AND SIXTY THOUSAND PESOS TO THE PROVINCES OF TAYABAS, RIZAL, AND LA LAGUNA, RESPECTIVELY, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sums of sixty thousand pesos, seventy-five thousand pesos, and sixty thousand pesos, to he loaned to the Provinces of Tayabas, Rizal, and La Laguna, respectively,

Section 2.ℒαwρhi৷ The money appropriated in section one of this Act shall in each case be paid to the treasurer of the province for which appropriated upon the production and delivery by him to the Insular Treasurer of a certified copy of a resolution of the provincial board of his province accepting the loan hereinbefore authorized and agreeing to repay the same, without interest, in annual installments of one-tenth of the total amount, the first installment to be paid on or before September first, nineteen hundred and eight.

Section 3. The money hereby appropriated shall be used in the construction of provincial government buildings, and for no other purpose, and shall be expended under the direction of the provincial boards of said provinces : Provided, That the plans and specifications for the construction of said buildings shall be prepared by the Consulting Architect.

Section 4. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act, prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws." passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
