[ Act No. 1334, April 19, 1905 ]
AN ACT PRESCRIBING THE METHOD OF ALLOWANCE OF TRAVELING EXPENSES OF PROVINCIAL OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES AND REPEALING CONTRARY PROVISIONS OF LAW.
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:
Section 1. Provincial officers, their deputies, subordinates, and other employees shall be allowed the expenses of travel and subsistence while necessarily absent from the capital of the province on official business as herein provider:
a. Actual and necessary cost of transportation, together with a per diem not exceeding two pesos, to he fixed by the provincial board, for subsistence, except as otherwise herein provided.
b. Actual and necessary cost of transportation and subsistence only, while traveling by boat when subsistence is not included in the cost of transportation.
c. Actual and necessary cost of transportation only, while traveling by boat when subsistence is included in the cost of transportation.
d. A per diem of six pesos, for transportation and subsistence, while in the city of Manila.
Section 2. The provincial board of each province shall, by resolution, on or before January first and July first of each year, fix a tariff of maximum amounts which shall be allowed provincial officers and employees for expense of transportation on official business between the various towns of the province, during the ensuing six months, and a copy thereof shall be forwarded by the provincial secretary to the Insular Auditor.1aшphi1
Section 3. Payment of transportation and subsistence expenses in accordance with the provisions of this Act shall be made from the treasury of the province for the benefit of which the official travel is performed upon the approval of the provincial board of such province..
Section 4. All Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.
Section 5. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
Section 6. This Act shall take effect July first, nineteen hundred and five.
