[ Act No. 1316, April 11, 1905 ]

AN ACT SO AMENDING ACT NUMBERED ELEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE AS TO AUTHORIZE THE SECRETARY OF FINANCE AND JUSTICE TO DIRECT A JUDGE OF THE COURT OF FIRST INSTANCE TO HOLD A SPECIAL TERM OF THE COURT OF FIRST INSTANCE IN ANY PROVINCE AT ANOTHER PLACE IN THE PROVINCE THAN THAT FIXED BY LAW FOR HOLDING THE REGULAR TERM THEREIN.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

Section 1. Section one of Act Numbered Eleven hundred and fifty-three entitled "An Act providing that certain duties in relation to the Bureau of Justice and the Bureau of the Insular Treasury, now required by law to be performed by the Civil Governor, shall be performed by the Secretary of Finance and Justice," is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following paragraph:

"(p) To direct a judge of the Court of First Instance to hold a special term of the Court of First Instance in any province at another place within the province than that fixed by section seven of Act Numbered Eight hundred and sixty-seven, when in his opinion the same may be necessary to the economical and speedy administration of justice, as provided by section ten of Act Numbered Eight hundred and sixty-seven."

Section 2.1aшphi1 The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
