AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS, IN MONEY OF THE UNITED STATES, FROM THE FUND OF THREE MILLION DOLLARS APPROPRIATED BY THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES FOR THE RELIEF OF DISTRESS IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, FOR EXPENDITURE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL UPON RESOLUTIONS OF THE PHILIPPINE COMMISSION.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

Section 1. The sum of fifty thousand dollars, in money of the United States, is hereby appropriated, out of the fund of three million dollars appropriated by the Congress of the United States for the relief of distress in the Philippine Islands, for expenditure under the direction of the Governor-General, for such purposes and in such manner as may from time to time be authorized by resolutions of the Philippine Commission and in carrying out the intent of the Congress of the United States in appropriating the fund aforesaid.

Section 2. The sum of money by this Act appropriated shall be withdrawn from the Insular Treasury by requisitions in favor of such disbursing officer as the Governor-General may direct, in such allotments as may from time to time be necessary, and shall be accounted for as provided by law.

Section 3. The resolutions of the Philippine Commission upon which the funds herein appropriated shall be expended shall be printed and published in the regular quarterly volume of the laws and resolutions of the Commission and in the Official Gazette.

Section 4.1aшphi1 The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
