[ Act No. 886, September 11, 1903 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS, UNITED STATES CURRENCY, TO BE EXPENDED BY THE ENGINEER OFFICER, UNITED STATES ARMY, IN CHARGE OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE PORT OF MANILA, IN MAKING NECESSARY REPAIRS TO THE WALLS ALONG THE PASIG RIVER.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

Section 1. The sum of five thousand four hundred and sixty dollars, United States currency, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be immediately available and to be expended by the engineer officer of the United States Army in charge of the improvement of the port of Manila, in making necessary repairs to the walls along the Pasig River in the city of Manila below the Bridge of Spain.

Section 2.1aшphi1 The work, appropriation for which is made in the preceding section, shall be conducted under the regulations, limitations, and restrictions which are prescribed by Act Numbered Twenty-two, as amended, providing for the improvement of the port of Manila and the Pasig River.

Section 3. The appropriation made in this Act shall be available for withdrawal in United States currency or Philippine currency, at the option of the Treasurer of the Philippine Islands.

Section 4. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
