AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE APPROPRIATION OF TWO MILLIONS OF DOLLARS MADE IN ACT NUMBERED SIX HUNDRED AND NINETY-SIX MAY BE EXPENDED NOT ONLY TO PURCHASE THE SILVER BULLION WITH WHICH TO COIN SILVER PHILIPPINE PESOS BUT ALSO TO PAY THE EXPENSES OF SUCH COINAGE AND THE TRANSPORTATION OF THE COINS, WHEN COINED, FROM THE MINTS OF THE UNITED STATES TO THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, INCLUDING INSURANCE AND ALL OTHER PROPER EXPENSES.
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:
Section 1.1aшphi1 The appropriation of two millions of dollars provided for in section four of Act Numbered Six hundred and ninety-six for the purchase of silver bullion to be coined into silver Philippine pesos may also be expended for the expenses of coining the same, including the making of the necessary dies, for the transportation of the coins, when coined, from the mints of the United States to the Philippine Islands, for insurance, and for all other proper expenses of putting such pesos into circulation.
Section 2. All moneys heretofore disbursed by the Disbursing Agent of the Philippine Government in Washington tor the purposes mentioned in the preceding section are hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
Section 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
